Behind The Scenes Of Our Music Video
We were given a Task to create a 1 minute music video to our chosen song showing aspects of media techniques that we have studied with in our lessons. It had To be innovative and different as well as clean and inspiriting. We have planned our project out and have collected the resources and media in order to put our thoughts and plans into an aesthetically pleasing video.
My partner and I (Lily Clark) have started our project using the song Friends by Justing Bieber, choosing this song due to the lyrics and how cheer full and pleasant the song is as well as how we can use the play of words to change the meaning of the song to fit our image of the way we wanted our video to be. The song has only just been released as well and other then the lyric video the original music video has not yet been released so all of our ideas are mostly our primary and authentic ideas being used for this video.
The chorus being 'Can we still be friends ' which is actually intended to Selena Gomez , Justin Biebers ex-girlfriend is actually going to be altered by us in order to change its meaning to 'can we still be friends' after 'changing schools' . Lily and I have just changed to a new school so using visuals such as videos and photos combined from our previous schools such as prom and leavers day and just other videos that we value in order to make this music video come alive is our initial idea.

This is the layout of i movie and what we used ignored to make our music video. It was quit simple to use after a couple of uses and getting used to the techniques of I-Movie.
we decided to use videos and photos to represent our music video as a 'montage' of happy friendly times. the photos consisted of about 0.2 to 0.3 seconds and this meant it was fast paced and quick . the videos where around ten seconds to contrast to the speed of the photos

We used transitions such as slide right in order for the pictures to flow smoothly as well as look aesthetically pleasing. the pictures consists of bright colours and vibrant features to look happy and joyful/fun

The transitions also added effect to the individual images for example these where two different images but the transition adds effect and makes it look like one shot.

The montage effect of the photos and videos made the whole video put together as it acts if it were on social media which is relatable for friends who are young and teens this then puts the video as an memorable effect.
we also used vertical video this added so much effect as in a day to day typical teenagers life they would most likely take videos or phones that way and this adds an essence of connection to the audience.

A good first blog post Roshana. Make sure you use spell check and proof read. Let's have a look together to ensure there are no types. Can you add in more media-specific terminology now? Ms Page
